Teenage detained after threatening to bomb Police Headquarters

According to the police, a teenager was detained on Friday after they say he sent an email to the Delhi Police Headquarters alleging that a bomb had been installed in the Nangloi neighborhood outside Delhi.

After a thorough investigation of the region, a teenage kid who was the sender was found. After receiving counseling from the police, he was given back to his parents.

Nangloi is around eighteen kilometers away from the Delhi Police Headquarters, which is situated on Jai Singh Road in Central Delhi.

“The sender is an immature child; therefore, in his interest and in compliance with the Juvenile Justice Act, details of his identity cannot be disclosed,” the Police Headquarters said in a statement.

“The email was sent as a playful gesture. The kid has been turned over to his parents after getting appropriate counseling,” the statement said.
