Chirag resigned from his position in the NDA due of Nitish Kumar’s haughtiness: Nityanand Rai, Minister of the Union

The accusation that former Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan had acted as a ‘BJP agent’ in the assembly elections three years ago has been refuted by Union Minister Nityanand Rai, who is also the Chief Minister of Bihar. Nitish Kumar made the accusation.

Rai made the accusation that Paswan had severed ties with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) due to the “arrogance” of Kumar, the supreme leader of the JD(U). He also accused Kumar of having lost touch with “public sentiment.”

It is not accurate to argue that we intended to make Nitish Kumar less competitive in the assembly elections in 2020. Because he is out of touch with popular feeling, his party performed far worse than the BJP did in the election. “His arrogance had become a big problem, and it was the only reason why Chirag Paswan had to break apart,” Rai, a former president of the BJP in the state of Bihar, stated on Saturday.

Paswan had fielded LJP candidates, many of whom were former members of the BJP, in all of the seats that were contested by the JD(U), which concluded with a total of 43, a significant drop from 2015 when it had won 71 seats.

Even though the BJP decided to maintain its coalition with Kumar, Paswan made it clear that his game of brinkmanship was played with the intention of assisting the saffron party in forming its own government.

Friday, Kumar had blamed the bad showing of his party in the 2020 assembly elections on the BJP’s employment of its “agent,” without identifying the erstwhile ally or Paswan by name. He did this in order to blame the BJP for his party’s poor performance.

In August of the previous year, Kumar had resigned from his position as a member of the BJP in order to participate in the formation of the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ coalition administration in the state.
