Flaws in Group-D recruitment are alleged by AAP’s Sushil Gupta and Congress MP Randeep Surjewala

AAP state president Sushil Gupta and Congress member for the Rajya Sabha, Randeep Surjewala, both accused the BJP-JJP administration on Saturday of anomalies in the selection process and of mishandling the results of the newly announced Group-D. They said that hundreds of young people who had been looking for work had been duped by the government.

During a joint news conference in Kaithal, Congress leader Shweta Dhull, Surjewala, and Gupta brought up the subject of Group-D recruitment, stating that the state government had hired close to 18,000 applicants before to the Jind bypoll in 2018.

Later, on the basis of their socioeconomic criterion scores, document verification, sports category certificate, and other shortcomings, a number of young people were fired. Because individuals with PHDs, postgraduate degrees, and engineering backgrounds were hired for positions such as sewermen, cooks, and washermen, among other positions, almost 4,000 people were not even considered for the position.

According to Surjewala, after 2018, no Group-D recruitment was held for a further five years. During this time, the youngsters persisted in their suffering and were compelled to go outside via “donkey routes,” but the BJP-JJP administration ignored their requests.

He emphasized that the BJP-JJP administration had again announced the results of 10,997 jobs under Group D on March 7, just before the Haryana General and Assembly elections, and that the model code of conduct might be implemented at any moment. He and Gupta added that out of 13,536 vacancies, the results of 10,997 applicants had been announced. “Group D’s whole outcome is deceptive. Youths would be swiftly recruited by the government and then involved in legal proceedings, according to Surjewala.
