I turned down KCR’s request to join the NDA, claims Modi

K Chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister of Telangana and the president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), had asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accept his party into the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Modi claimed on Tuesday. The state’s ruling party refuted this assertion. Voting will take place in Telangana later this year.

The Prime Minister said he “would disclose a secret” while speaking to a crowd of people at Giriraj College grounds in Nizamabad town.

“The BJP won 48 of the 150 seats up for election in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal municipality (GHMC) in December 2020, but no party secured an absolute majority to take control of the municipality. KCR visited Delhi shortly after the elections to ask for our support,” he remarked.

He gave me shawls and roses as congratulations. He gave me a lot of affection, which was out of character for him. He assured me that I was leading the nation to swift development. Then he said, “Sir, please take us into the NDA.” His party had expressed a desire to join the NDA as well. I questioned him about it since I was curious. He said that he want the BJP’s backing in the GHMC.

Rao’s proposal was rebuffed by Modi, who said that he had no qualms about being in the opposition and that the BJP will never work with the BRS. “I assured him that although we are willing to put up with any persecution from the state administration, we won’t defraud the Telangana people. With those 48 seats, we will go ahead on our trip. We rejected his idea since there is no issue about admitting the BRS inside the NDA, he stated.

The Prime Minister remembered that Rao returned to Delhi a few days later and informed him that he had completed his work for the state of Telangana and that he intended to transfer control of the state to his son, KT Rama Rao.

He promised to send his kid to me once and asked for my blessings for him, he said. The Prime Minister added, “I made it very clear to him that Telangana is a democracy and he is not a king or emperor to pass over the reigns to his successor; it is up to the people of Telangana to choose who to elect and who to reject.

Rao last saw him at that event, according to Modi. “Prior to the GHMC polls, anytime I traveled to Hyderabad, KCR would arrive at the airport with a large entourage and shower me with garlands. After our encounter in Delhi, he and I stopped sharing the same viewpoints. He had been avoiding me since he was terrified of even seeing my shadow. He fled from me recently when I participated in official programs as well because he knew I wouldn’t allow a corrupt person to sit next to me, the Prime Minister remarked.

The Prime Minister said it was sad that just one family received the profit out of the new state and that it was robbing the people after hundreds of individuals gave their life to create Telangana state. “Only KCR, his son, daughter, and nephew had become rich,” he said.

During the Rao administration, corruption had reached a new peak, and his family was stealing from even government monies. “The young have no work possibilities, and the BRS regulation has been bad for all the other sectors. He said that the people of Telangana shouldn’t give this dynastic tyranny another chance.

Additionally, Modi warned Telangana’s citizens to be aware of the Congress party, which he said had a covert agreement with the Congress. Even in Karnataka, he said, “there were behind-the-screen agreements.”

The prime minister said that after Sardar Patel freed Hyderabad from the Nizam, another leader from Gujarat had arrived to ensure the state’s development. “Today, another son of Gujarat came for your prosperity, development, and welfare,” he said.

The Prime Minister mentioned a number of Center-led projects, including the construction of hospitals, the establishment of a 4,000 MW NTPC power plant, and the extension of railway lines, in order to demonstrate the BJP’s commitment to Telangana’s growth.

In light of the BJP’s 33% quota for women in legislative bodies, he urged women in the state to support it in the next assembly elections.

According to BRS working president and Telangana industries minister K T Rama Rao, Modi’s remarks at Nizamabad were “blatant white lies”.

If we join the NDA, are we being bit by insane dogs? Shiv Sena, Janata Dal (United), Telugu Desam Party, Shiromani Akali Dal, and AIADMK are just a few of the organizations that have left the NDA. Other than the Income Tax agency, Enforcement Directorate, and Central Bureau of Investigation, who else is with you? In response to the Prime Minister’s accusations, KTR questioned.

The first 800 MW unit of phase-I of the NTPC Telangana Super Thermal Power Project, a new railway line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet, and the electrification project between Dharmabad-Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar-Kurnool were among the development projects that Modi launched earlier in the day and laid the foundation stones for.

He signaled the start of the Siddipet-Secunderabad-Siddipet railway service, which helped regional passengers. Telangana, he said, has talent everywhere, and the state created and distributed a vaccine for COVID-19 to the whole globe.
