In a hotel in Delhi, the husband of a CRPF head constable severed his hand; a FIR was filed

Police said on Saturday that a CRPF head constable’s hand was reportedly severed by her husband at a hotel in Adarsh Nagar, northwest of Delhi.

The pair is from the Uttar Pradesh city of Kanpur. On Friday about 3 p.m., they had booked into the hotel. The lady had traveled to the metropolis to take a departmental test.

Police said they believe the accused gave his 28-year-old wife something, which caused her to lose consciousness, and that is what caused him to sever her hand from her wrist on Friday night. She phoned the hotel personnel once she regained consciousness, and they subsequently called the police.

“We are checking the information the victim supplied. The lady is being treated at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital while she is only partially aware. She is now unable to provide us with more details on the case, a senior police officer stated.

But we are attempting to locate the alleged spouse, who is at large. A complaint has also been filed under IPC section 307 (attempt to kill),” he said.
