In Haryana, the mercury has returned to normal

Today’s average temperature in the state was at its typical level. As of March 13, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow advisory for lightning and thundershowers in several areas of the state. It also said that most of the country will probably get dry weather over the following four days.

Today’s high and low temperatures in the state returned to normal after a week of consistently below-average temperatures. According to the IMD’s weather advisory, the average lowest temperature increased by 2.1°C and the maximum temperature increased by 2.5°C from yesterday.

The Mahendragarh district registered Monday’s greatest maximum temperature of 31.5°C. In Gurugram, the lowest minimum temperature ever recorded was 11.4°C.

But Hisar’s reading of 11.7°C was 1.7°C colder than typical. At 30.8°C, the highest recorded temperature was one degree above average. In contrast, the Met Office issued a yellow notice and advise for thundershowers and lightning on March 13 for the districts of Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, and Karnal.

On March 13, meteorologists predicted that isolated downpours or thunderstorms might be brought on by western disturbances in certain areas. On March 13, the IMD predicted a partly overcast sky with a chance of showers, thunderstorms, or dust storms in Hisar.
