Kadapa has been changed by us: AP Deputy CM

Deputy Chief Minister (Minority Affairs) SB Amzath Basha said that Kadapa City has seen a significant change as a result of the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government’s investment in infrastructure development, which has cost Rs 2,400 crore in the previous five years. SB Amzath Basha discussed the development initiatives he has undertaken in his home constituency of Kadapa and his plans to see it further developed over the next five years in an interview with S Nagaraja Rao.

How likely is it that you will win the election three times in a row?

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister, has prioritized development and the prosperity of the people. Kadapa is becoming a center for medicine thanks to us. Rejuvenation of Brahmasagar came at a cost of Rs 570 crore. The city’s road network has been reinforced. Kadapa is developing at a rapid pace. I’m going to win hat tricks.

For the next five years, what are your development plans?

Certain low-lying regions in Kadapa are being flooded when strong rains hit the area. At a cost of Rs 69 crore, we are building 12 stormwater drains to address the city’s flooding issue. We have also started taking action to permanently address the drinking water issue. Pipelines for drinking water will also be installed.

How would you respond to the opposition TDP’s claim that Kadapa has not seen any growth in the last five years?

We are offering proof of the infrastructure development projects carried out in the city of Kadapa. The significant infrastructure projects that Kadapa has completed in the previous five years, such as the beautification and reinforcement of the road network, are a strong indication of the progress that the city has attained.

How would you respond to TDP head Naidu’s charge that the YSRC administration disregarded Muslim development?

The government of the YSRC is dedicated to the well-being of Muslims. A number of steps have also been done to improve their economic situation. For the Hajj trip, the State government has allocated Rs 14.05 crore. In contrast to their counterparts in other States of the nation, minorities in Andhra Pradesh report higher levels of happiness.
