Kin report that a Karnal youngster is missing in Belarus
Ashwani vanished in Belarus, shattering his family’s hopes and expectations. He had apparently taken the “donkey” path to Germany, arriving first in Moscow and then in Belarus.
His family said they had not been in communication with him for the last month, but they had no idea where he was. Ashwani’s wife, parents, and other family members arrived to the Mini Secretariat to see the Superintendent of Police with a plea to track him down.
“An agent who often visits Belarus and his family enticed us to bring our kid to Germany in search of a better life. The agent was first handed Rs 4.5 lakh. In October 2023, he traveled from India to Germany, but he ended up in Moscow. His mother, Santosh, a Mohdinpur resident, said that an additional Rs 3 lakh had been deposited to the agent’s account.
“After my son arrived in Belarus, the agent made a new demand for Rs 3 lakh. We told him we couldn’t provide the money, therefore we were unable to communicate with him,” the woman bemoaned.
A party of twelve individuals used the “donkey” path to Germany. Eleven of them had come back, but Ashwani was nowhere to be found, according to the family.
“Justice and action against the agent and his family are the reasons we’ve come here. We ask that the authorities assist us in finding our kid,” she said.
