Lok Sabha elections 2024: Rahul Gandhi claims that the nation is aware that the prime minister is a supporter of corruption

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi referred to the canceled electoral bonds as the “biggest extortion scheme in the world” on Wednesday, calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi the “champion of corruption,” according to news agency ANI.

In response to Prime Minister Modi’s recent statements on the canceled electoral bonds program, which he said was introduced to promote openness and “curb black money in elections,” the Congress leader questioned why the Supreme Court had invalidated it.

“The Prime Minister spoke with ANI for an extended period of time a few days ago. Though well written, the program was a complete failure. In it, the prime minister attempted to clarify electoral ties. According to the prime minister, the electoral bond system was implemented to promote clean politics and transparency. Why did the Supreme Court abolish that system if this is the case? Second, why did PM Modi withhold the identities of those who contributed to the BJP if your goal was to increase transparency? Gandhi questioned, “And why did you hide the dates on which they gave you the money?,” according to PTI.

“This is the world’s largest extortion scam. This is something that every Indian businessman is aware of, and it won’t matter how much clarity the Prime Minister tries to provide. At a news conference with Samajwadi Party chairman Akhilesh Yadav in Ghaziabad, the Congress leader said, “Because the entire country knows that the Prime Minister is the champion of corruption,” according to ANI.

The Wayanad MP’s comments followed PM Modi’s assertions in an ANI interview that the electoral bond program was designed to reduce the use of black money in elections and that the opposition wanted to flee after leveling accusations. “When there is an honest reflection,” Prime Minister Modi said, “everyone will regret it.”

Rahul Gandhi went on to say that he now believes the BJP may win 150 seats in the Lok Sabha instead of the 180 seats he had previously predicted.

“Fifteen to twenty days ago, I predicted the BJP would win 180 seats, but as of right now, I believe they will only win 150. Every state is reporting to us that we are doing better. The Congress leader said, “We will perform very well in Uttar Pradesh because we have a very strong alliance,” according to ANI.

Gandhi responded to a query on whether he will run for parliament in 2024 from Amethi or Raebarelli, saying, “This is a really nice question from the BJP. I’ll obey any command I’m given. The CEC makes all of these (candidate selection) choices for our party, according to ANI.

“In the last ten years, PM Modi has reduced the system of employment generation by demonetization, by implementing the wrong GST, and by supporting big billionaires like Adani,” Gandhi stated, elaborating on the party’s program for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The first job is to bolster employment once again, and in our manifesto, we have provided 23 measures to that end. The groundbreaking concept of the right to apprenticeship is one. We have made the decision to provide all graduates and diploma holders in Uttar Pradesh the opportunity to participate in apprenticeship programs. We are granting these rights to millions of young people, and in addition to providing training, we will also place Rs 1 lakh annually in the bank accounts of the youth. We’re also going to pass legislation against document leaks,” ANI said.

In Uttar Pradesh, there will be seven voting stages.

There will be a triangular race for the Ghaziabad seat. Following the withdrawal of Union Minister and current BJP MP from Ghaziabad, Gen (retd) VK Singh, the BJP has announced Atul Garg as their contender for the Ghaziabad seat in the Lok Sabha elections.

Garg will compete against Congresswoman and INDIA bloc candidate Dolly Sharma, while Nand Kishore Pundir has been put out by the Bahujan Samaj Party.

In the 2019 general elections, the BJP and its ally Apna Dal(S) won 64 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats, proving incorrect all the calculations of the SP-BSP’mahagatbandhan’ in Uttar Pradesh. 15 seats were gained by the SP-BSP.
