Man detained after phoning a fake flight delay

Mumbai: Vilas Bakade, 42, has been taken into custody from Bengaluru. According to the Mumbai police, he threatened Akasa Air with a bomb in order to postpone his wife’s trip since she arrived at the airport late.

New Delhi: In connection with the Rameshwaram Cafe explosion case in Bengaluru on March 1, the NIA has offered a monetary reward of Rs 10 lakh for information regarding the suspected bomber. The main suspect is a guy who was seen on video entering the café.

CBI accuses Lalu’s previous assistant

New Delhi: In the land-for-jobs scam case, the CBI on Wednesday filed an additional chargesheet against three individuals, including two candidates and a special officer who served as the former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. Bhola Yadav, a special officer of then-railway minister Lalu Yadav, and two candidates are the three accused against whom the CBI has filed the chargesheet.

Manipur is the site of army veterans’ rallies.

 New Delhi: The Army staged several gatherings for former military members on Wednesday in several Manipur districts. More than 2,000 troops, 180 widows, and 65 dependents attended the celebrations. According to a Ministry of Defence spokesman in Kohima, veterans of the 1965, 1971, and 1999 operations all participated.
