Man shot following altercation in Gurugram village, murderer beaten to death by victim’s family

In Khandsa village today, a 55-year-old man was shot and killed by another man during a fight sparked by a long-standing grudge. Later, the victim’s family members beat the murderer to death. It was stated that an ancient rivalry was at the root of the incident.

The dead have been named as Khanda village residents Dinesh, alias Timmu (34), and Sunil, alias Fauji (55).

On Thursday afternoon, Dinesh had gone to Sunil’s place, and they got into a fight over a few things. The assault happened around 2:30 pm in Khandsa village, close to Lala Wali Mandi, according to the police. Old Dinesh and Sunil began abusing each other. Sunil was hit by Dinesh, who also had a criminal record, and collapsed to the ground. After that, Sohit, a relative of Sunil, arrived and gave Dinesh a severe beating with an iron rod, causing Dinesh to pass away immediately.

Both of them were brought to a local hospital by bystanders, where the medical staff pronounced them both dead. According to a senior police officer, three empty gunshot casings were discovered at the scene during the preliminary investigation. “We are awaiting a complaint while we hold the remains at the morgue.
