Training for election app usage by officials

At accordance with the directives of the Election Commission, 156 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and 16 BLO supervisors from the Rampur Assembly segment attended a one-day session today at the auditorium of Padma Government Senior Secondary School, Rampur.

Sunil Mehta, the Nodal Officer for the IT unit, provided comprehensive details about the Poll Day Monitoring System App. The participants were instructed on how to get electronic voting machines (EVMs) and election materials for the polling booth, as well as information on how long it takes to get there, how to conduct a mock poll, when voting would begin, and how many men and women vote overall every two hours.

All BLOs must complete training on the use of this software.
On May 3, a live test of every BLO on this app will take place.
The authorities received training on using this app to provide information such as the time of the voting close, the EVM’s departure time, and the EVM’s deposit in the strong room. To make the software easier for the BLOs to grasp, a demonstration was given. Sunil said, “The concerned officials should not have any doubts.”

He said that all BLOs were required to attend training about this app in accordance with the Election Commission’s directives. On May 3, a live test of every BLO on this app will take place.

Additionally, Devinder Kumar of Rampur Election Kanungo gave the BLOs comprehensive information about their election-related responsibilities and requested that they show up at their polling place on May 3 at 2:00 PM for a live test of the Poll Day Monitoring System app. He said, “This exercise will help determine which polling booths have network issues.”
