Most likely “Pakistan Zindabad”: forensic specialist

The forensic examiner of the audio recording of pro-Pakistan shouts purportedly said at Vidhana Soudha on February 27, BN Phaneendar of Clue4 Evidence forensic lab, said he had received a complaint from an NGO called Samvada, inquiring as to the precise phrases used.

Following the election of three Congress MPs from Karnataka to the Rajya Sabha, an uproar erupted. Allegedly, MP Naseer Hussain’s supporters yelled the chants.

According to Phaneendar, he was asked in writing whether the chants were “Pakistan Zindabad” or “Nasir Saab Zindabad.” “It’s probably Pakistan Zindabad because I can clearly hear the ‘N’ sound,” he said.

When questioned whether it may be “Nasir Khan Zindabad,” he was shocked and said that it wasn’t what he was asked. Besides, he had heard “Than” and assumed it could be “Pakistan Zindabad.”

Phaneendar said he did not own the specific video clip that TNIE broadcast, which included the chants “Nasir Saab Zindabad,” “Nasir Hussain Zindabad,” and “Nasir Khan Zindabad.” He said that Samvada, a right-wing organization, had provided him with an audio tape for analysis.

BN Phaneendar’s “pro-Pak slogan” in the Karnataka Assembly sparks controversy after a private forensic lab report on the matter
When asked whether there was any proof that the audio clip had been altered or manipulated, he said that there wasn’t, but he nevertheless requested the complaint to provide the original audio. Phaneendar, who goes by the prefix Dr, is neither a medical doctor or a member of the MBBS.

When asked whether he had a spectrogram for the words that were looked at, along with the length and frequency windows for each word, he said that he had and that he would send it over. He responded that he could show vertical striations for each word selected in any mode of the spectrogram and that he would also provide 3D spatial information for the words looked at.

When asked whether he was certain of the accuracy and error %, Phaneendar said, “Most likely.” The report from Phaneendar has not yet been received by TNIE at the time of publication.

BN Phaneendar’s followers’ “pro-Pak slogans” cause a rift in the Karnataka legislature and council.
