MP: Priyanka Praises the Narmada River Before the Jabalpur Rally

After landing in Jabalpur, where she would hold a rally to launch the Congress leader’s party’s campaign for the year-end Assembly elections, Priyanka Gandhi offered prayers to the Narmada River, which is regarded as Madhya Pradesh’s lifeblood.

The cultural centre of the state, Jabalpur, popularly known as Sanskardhrani, has been decorated with cutouts of a mace-wielding Hanuman in anticipation of the visit.

Along with Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath, party general secretary in charge of the state JP Agrawal, and Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha, Gandhi did puja at Gwarighat on the banks of the Narmada.

Gandhi and other politicians vowed to maintain the Narmada clean after receiving an idol of Lord Ganesh from the local MLA Tarun Bhanot.
