Muktsar: Punjab minister Dr. Baljit Kaur offers free medical examinations to those in need while seeking votes for the AAP
In addition to advocating for AAP candidates Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar and Karamjit Anmol in the Ferozepur and Faridkot Lok Sabha seats, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur also performs eye exams on those in need during her public appearances. AAP leaders said, “The Cabinet Minister believes in having a personal bond with voters.”
Baljit Kaur, an ophthalmologist, worked for around eight years at the Muktsar Civil Hospital before to entering politics in 2022. November 2021 marked her early retirement.
She continued her campaign of providing free eye exams to the public at her public appearances in the Malout Assembly section in 2022, and she won with an unprecedented margin of 40,261 votes.
She acted similarly during the Gujarat Assembly election. “Practicing medicine and serving the public brings me personal fulfillment,” the doctor said.
One of her patients, Sukhjit Kaur, said, “I have never seen Dr. Baljit Kaur as a politician.” Once, at a public meeting, I requested her to examine my eyes. Without wasting any time, she quickly switched on her cellphone’s flashlight and checked my eyes.
Even though she was the Cabinet Minister, she once saw a lot of patients at the Aam Aadmi Clinic’s free medical camp at Bhagsar village, Malout. She has also checked the eyes of those in need at a Muktsar private hospital.
