An official said on Tuesday that a 50-year-old guy had been detained in this city for robbing elderly people on the street of their jewelry by deceiving them into giving him their jewelry and cash after assuming a sympathetic persona.

Accused According to the official, Sanjay Mangade was detained on July 9 in response to a 62-year-old’s accusation in the western neighborhood of Borivali. He had targeted 28 additional elderly persons in Mumbai and the surrounding regions, according to the results of his questioning.
