Nahan laborers join the chorus of protesters over Kejriwal’s detention

Workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) protested Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, by taking to the streets around the country to voice their opposition to his recent incarceration. In solidarity of their leader, the AAP activists in Nahan today staged a demonstration and observed a fast, joining the chorus of discontent.

Speaking to the media during the protest, AAP state spokesman Nathu Ram Chauhan denounced Kejriwal’s detention, calling it a premeditated action planned in front of the approaching Lok Sabha elections. Chauhan said that the Central Government was using authoritarian methods to silence critics of important topics like jobs, healthcare, and education.

Chauhan said, “Arvind Kejriwal has been singled out as a part of a deliberate plot to silence the dissent.” “It is clear that the Central Government has an authoritarian mindset, especially when people dare to voice their concerns about urgent problems facing our country.”

Chauhan emphasized the outcry over Kejriwal’s detention while highlighting the support the politician has received around the country. Protests have broken out all around the nation, with many supporting the beleaguered Chief Minister because they believe his detention violates democracy and the right to free speech.
