Professionals entering politics is urgently needed, according to TN BJP head K Annamalai

“It is imperative that professionals enter the political sphere; only professionals will be able to make accurate decisions in governance,” BJP candidate for the Coimbatore Lok Sabha seat, K Annamalai, said on Saturday night at an event held in Uppilipalayam, Coimbatore.

Speaking at the “Professionals in Politics” event that was preceded by the publication of the book “The Idea Called Malai,” which was released in both Tamil and English, Annamalai said that he was not allowed to discuss politics since he was the candidate for the Coimbatore seat.

Professionals entering the political sphere is urgently needed. Today’s political landscape will expand even more quickly. Only experts will be able to make accurate judgments in government, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established ambitious goals for the next 25 years that call for the expertise of professionals, according to Annamalai.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi values leaders with various viewpoints. He went on, “He wants Tamil Nadu to be a part of his big goal.”

Annamalai emphasized the significance of the 2024 Lok Sabha election, saying it will “break a lot of things.” Castes and alliances will be broken in this election. Caste prevented educated individuals from participating in the polls. The upper community of each of the 39 seats is home to 99.99% of all political parties and candidates.

“A person’s party affiliation shouldn’t be a source of contention. We need to invite intelligent members of the opposition parties to the government. As an individual, I believe that professionals should play a crucial role in politics and administration and that they need to adopt strong ideological stances. Any party should encourage people to work at the grassroots level because professionals can do great things there, he said.

The electoral authorities first refused to approve the scheme. The Election Returning Officer gave permission for the event, as directed by the Madras High Court. According to reports, the candidate will be responsible for covering the event’s costs.
