Road rage: one injured, one killed

New Delhi: Early on Monday morning, a man was killed and another seriously wounded in an altercation that followed a traffic accident. Around one in the morning on Monday, the police claimed, a taxi and a battery-rickshaw crashed close to Kodia Pul.

After the crash, there was certain to be a fight as the two drivers started to physically attack each other. Before long, the taxi driver was hauled from his car, and others began congregating around. One of the people is said to have shot Luv Kush, a beggar who was watching the scene, and Saquib, the taxi driver. TNS

Dubey is JNU’s next ABVP president.

New Delhi: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) branch of the ABVP wrapped up its elections on Monday. The ABVP (JNU) has chosen Rajeshwar Kant Dubey as its unit president and Shikha Swaraj as its unit secretary. The results were declared by ABVP National Executive Council member and Election Officer Unnati Panjikar.
