Snatching suspect dies after injuries; two assistants are charged

Two suspected accomplices of the critically wounded suspect, who was reportedly engaged in the stealing of a mobile phone, have been charged with negligent death.

The deceased, Sawan, 22, is said to have “snapped” a cell phone in Phase 6 of Focal Point, here, and then attempted to escape with his accomplices, Sawan Birla and Sabba, but instead fell off a motorbike.

When Sawan “fell” from his motorbike, onlookers grabbed him. It’s unclear whether the deceased’s serious injuries came from “falling” from the motorbike or from being attacked by members of the public. There was an investigation, according to the Focal Point SHO.

According to a statement made by his brother Amit from Moti Nagar, Birla and Sabba, the victim’s accomplices, have been charged with carelessness in the murder of their partner.

According to Amit, his brother had joined a dangerous crowd and was involved in drug usage and snatching crimes. On April 13, Sawan was given a bike ride by Birla, and it was during this trip that they allegedly committed a snatching with Sabba. Sawan fell off the bike while attempting to avoid arrest. The public caught him in the act. His cronies were on the run. A bystander later took him to the Civil Hospital, where he passed away.
