The Allahabad High Court orders the bail application for Mukhtar Ansari in the murder case to be sent

On Thursday, the Allahabad High Court ordered that a former MLA’s bail request in a murder case be presented to the chief justice for referral to an appropriate court that handles MP-MLA matters.

The murder that led to the bail request occurred in the Mau district of Uttar Pradesh in 2010.

When an objection was raised on behalf of the additional attorney general of Uttar Pradesh over the jurisdictional element of the case, claiming that since it included a former MLA, it should be considered by an MP-MLA court, Justice Siddhartha issued the ruling.

Contractor Munna Singh was reportedly slain in Mau district in 2009, according to Mukhtar’s attorney. Ram Singh testified in the 2009 murder investigation. 2010 saw the murder of Ram Singh as well.

Following that, a FIR was filed at the Dakshin Tola police station in the Mau district accusing Mukhtar’s involvement in the murder case as a conspirator.

The primary accused in the case has already been granted bail, the applicant’s attorney claims in the current bail application.

Mukhtar, who is said to have participated in the plot, is thus also qualified for bail. Second, the attorney in this instance estimates that he has been in court custody for around 14 years.
