The Himachal Pradesh CM informs Cong Chief Kharge of the losses caused by the recent heavy rains

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, met with Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, on Saturday in Delhi. They addressed a number of topics pertaining to the state, including the losses brought on by the recent severe rains.

Sukhu told Kharge of the destruction brought on by the state’s floods and severe rains, as well as the relief and rescue efforts made by the state administration. He also informed the leader of the Congress about his ministers’ evacuation of tourists from Chandertaal, which is located in Spiti at an elevation of 4,300 meters.

 

Sukhu informed Kharge that he had requested quick assistance from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that the Congress administration was making every effort to return things to normal. According to an official release, Kharge praised Sukhu’s efforts for personally overseeing the relief and rescue activities on the ground.

 

The chief minister of Himachal Pradesh also briefed Kharge on his discussions with J P Nadda, the president of the BJP, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, the minister of defense, and Nirmala Sitharaman regarding a number of state-related matters.
