The Lok Sabha election agreement is finalized by Maharashtra’s MVA, and Uddhav’s Shiv Sena will run for 21 seats: Specifics

Maharashtra Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), chaired by Shiv Sena-Uddhav Thackeray, Congress, and Nationalist Congress Party-Sharad Pawar, has finalized the seat-sharing on all 48 Lok Sabha seats. The MVA said on Tuesday at a joint news conference that Sharad Pawar’s NCP would contest 10 seats, Congress will contest 17 seats, and Uddhav Thackeray’s Sena will contest 21 seats in the next elections.

Following weeks of discussions, NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, leader of the Shiv Sena-UBT, and state Congress president Nana Patole revealed the electoral accord for the 48 parliamentary seats in the state during a press conference in Mumbai. The list of all the seats where MVA partners will run for office is shown below.

The Opposition’s I.N.D.I. includes all three of the parties as well.a group to oppose the National Democratic Alliance, headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in the next elections.

Congress’ General Secretary in charge of communications, Jairam Ramesh, said before of the votes, “We have started a house-to-house assurance program. We are giving homes 8 crore guarantee cards. Both Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are participating in campaigns.Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the national president of the Congress, are our three main superstar campaigners, and they are each in a separate state.”

Eight Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra will be decided by a second round of voting on April 26. A total of 204 candidates are running for these seats, according to an official statement on Monday.

“299 legitimate nominations were received. Of them, 204 are still fighting in the districts of Parbhani, Wardha, Yavatmal-Washim, Hingoli, Nanded, Akola, and Buldhana,” he said.

According to an official, 34 contenders remain in the race in Parbhani after seven competitors withdrew their candidacy papers.

He said, “The symbol ‘whistle’ has been assigned to Mahadev Jankar, the head of Rashtriya Samaj Paksha and a candidate for the ruling coalition. Jankar will face off against Panjabrao Dakh (Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi) and Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Jadhav.

After fifteen Independent candidates withdrew their candidacy, 33 candidates in total will compete in the Hingoli elections.

The primary competition will be between Nagesh Patil Ashtikar of the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Baburao Kadam of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.

The first five stages of the Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections will start on April 19.
