Three police officers killed in a collision while on poll duty

In Sidhwalia, in the Gopalganj district of Bihar, on Sunday, a container truck struck one of the three police buses parked next to a roadside dhaba, killing three police constables and injuring fifteen more police officers. Gopalganj SP Swarn Prabhat said, “A total of 108 policemen were on their way to poll-bound Supaul from Gopalganj in three buses.” The third passed away from his wounds at a hospital, while the other two passed away immediately.

At the Khagaria Sadar Hospital, the wounded were hospitalized.

Police Headquarters has declared that the Bihar Police Benevolent Fund will provide each dead person’s dependent with a payment of Rs 25 lakh.
