Unintentional burning causes damage to wheat crops

On Friday, a wheat field in the district’s Ghudda hamlet caught fire. Sparks from electric lines across the fields are thought to be the source of the fire. The wheat crop that was standing in the fields was turned to ashes as a result of the fire.

When Jatinder Bhalla, the chairman of the Municipal Improvement Trust and the AAP’s district rural in-charge, arrived, irked farmers performed gehrao for him. The farmers asked that Powercom personnel who had acted negligently be held accountable via legal action.

According to Ajaypal Ghudda, a local farmer, fire in the fields is burning the standing crops, which is happening now since the crops were damaged by rain and hailstorms before.
