Uttarakhand: A car crashes into a gorge, killing two family members and injuring five more

Officials stated on Monday that two members of a family from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, were murdered and five others were wounded after their vehicle slid into a canyon on the Nainital-Kaladhungi route in Uttarakhand.

The tragedy occurred at midnight Sunday near Priya Band, and after being notified by the police, a State Disaster Response Force team arrived on the scene to conduct out relief and rescue operations.

According to police, brothers Rahul and Rajeev Srivastava (27) died on the scene.

According to the police, their parents Premchand and Aruna Srivastava (52), Rahul’s wife Shalu (25) and their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Mishti, and a close cousin called Akash Srivastava (22) were all hurt.

According to authorities, they were all retrieved from the ditch and sent to a hospital.

The seven passengers were on their way to Nainital.
