According to a report, Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech’s potential transfer to Al-Nassr is in jeopardy

In recent years, Chelsea has been among the teams that have been most active in the transfer market as they try to improve their team for the next year. They recently off-shored goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to Al-Ahli and defender Kalidou Koulbably to Al Hilal.

Winger Hakim Ziyech’s transfer to Saudi Arabia is also anticipated to be completed, although there are some medical issues that seem to be delaying the Moroccan’s departure.

Ziyech will join Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr this summer, according to information released earlier this month by Italian writer Fabrizio Romano. Additionally, Romano said that the winger will go through a medical check with the Saudi Arabian team. As it has recently been planned, Hakim Ziyech will undergo medical exams with Al-Nassr on Thursday. Between the player, Al-Nassr, and Chelsea, all contracts have now been signed, Romano had tweeted.

Recent events, however, indicate that Ziyech’s relocation to Al Nassr seems to have failed.

The transfer of Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea FC to Al-Nassr was already agreed upon, with the Moroccan international joining Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi league for a reported sum of £17 million. However, a number of French media sources have said that a medical concern may prevent the player’s move from going through.

It is believed that Al-Nassr discovered a knee issue when doing Ziyech’s examination. It’s the same problem that sprang up with Ziyech’s first transfer proposal to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the winter window.

Chelsea acquired Ziyech in July 2020. The Moroccan international, 30, had agreed to a five-year contract with the Blues. Ziyech had several amazing seasons with Ajax before joining Chelsea. He scored 49 goals in 165 games for the Dutch team.

In 2021, Ziyech and Chelsea were successful in capturing the coveted Champions League. With the Stamford Bridge-based team, he went on to win the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup. He was able to win several awards while wearing a Chelsea shirt, but he was unable to match his Ajax statistics with the English team.

Ziyech made 107 appearances for Chelsea and scored 14 goals during his time there. Ziyech has played 41 times for Morocco and has scored 18 goals in international play thus far.
