After RCB won the WPL 2024, Virat Kohli said this to Smriti Mandhana during a video call

Delhi: After winning the Women’s Premier League’s second edition on Sunday night in New Delhi, the Royal Challengers Bangalore eves had a night to remember. After dominating the opening eight overs of the match, the RCB team went on to defeat the Delhi Capitals team by eight wickets. The victory was celebrated with a phone call from former India captain Virat Kohli to Smriti.

The RCB executives, Smriti, and Kohli had a video conference. Everyone was so happy that they were unable to control their feelings. Kohli continued to assert during the video conference that RCB will now be the first team to win the WPL and IPL in the same year.

“This year, RCB will become the only team to win both the WPL and IPL in the same year,” declared captain Virat Kohli.

Kohli, meanwhile, departed for Bangalore yesterday night and will be participating in the festivities in the evenings today. The Eves would be much more motivated by his presence. Prior to the IPL season, Kohli will be reporting to the RCB camp in Bengaluru. Since the RCB team has never won an IPL, Kohli and company are hoping to make history this year.

With the upcoming T20 World Cup and doubts over his place in the team, all eyes will be on Kohli. On March 22, RCB plays the Super Kings in what is sure to be a thrilling season opener.
