An ardent follower of Hardik Pandya touches his idol’s foot during the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Mumbai Indians game

On March 27, after his Mumbai Indians were defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad by 31 runs, Hardik Pandya had a touching conversation with a fan. The individual was seen stroking Pandya’s feet outside the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium changing room in a video that went viral. The all-rounder for India, who was wearing his training uniform, stopped right away to welcome the fan, clearly touched by the gesture.

Before Pandya prepared to take some photos of the child, the two grinned and spoke. The fan posted the video on X (previously Twitter) after having what seemed like a dreamlike encounter with Hardik Pandya, writing, “Met my idol in Hyderabad, Thank you, Hardik Pandya.”

In 2022, Hardik Pandya, who debuted in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai in 2015, joined the Gujarat Titans. Prior to the current season, the Indian mainstay returned to the MI club, this time in the role of captain. MI is the five-time champion.

Nothing noteworthy has yet to come out of Hardik’s return to the Mumbai Indians under his direction. MI is now floundering in the second-last slot in the points standings after losing both of its first two games.

The Mumbai Indians held the Gujarat Titans to 168 runs in the first game of the season. Despite what seemed to be an easy chase, the Hardik Pandya-led team eventually failed to reach the goal by 6 runs.

In the next game, Mumbai’s batting lineup performed much better, scoring 246 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad’s game-breaking 277-run target. The Mumbai Indians will host the Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede on April 1 in their next IPL match.
