Andre Russell of the Kolkata Knight Riders feels that UFC fighters inspire him to be

BENGALURU: It makes sense that when the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) began practice on Thursday, Andre Russell was the centre of attention. The big Jamaican continued to appear as menacing as he did at the Eden Gardens. He had hit a 25-ball 64 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their season opener.
One could not help but look back over the 35-year-old’s record at the location as he sent the ball far into the bleachers.

In 2019, KKR was chasing 206 to win at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here. Russell’s unbeaten 13-ball 48 assured they would reach their target with five balls remaining.
Russell, a highly sought-after T20 player who had a difficult year before, came back stronger, leaner, and more deadly than ever.
The West Indian stated on Thursday, “I think it’s all about the mindset,” in reference to finding his mojo again. I had a few successful seasons when I excelled in every aspect. After watching those movies, I found that I had a clear idea of what I wanted to happen with each delivery. I had been overthinking; therefore, I let myself become under strain.
Russell has also been working on his fitness in the lead-up to the T20 World Cup, and the benefits are undoubtedly apparent.

“I feel fantastic. I am now working on the next two packs out of my four. My body is responding nicely to my efforts to become lighter and leaner, and it also shows in my performance. I like watching the warriors in the UFC. The all-around player said, “Seeing those men looking muscular and slim motivates me as well.
Russell has also concentrated on honing his batting techniques.
“While I was at the Abu Dhabi nets, Sunil Narine made a comment. I find that walking quickly suits me. Most big-hitters don’t have very long strides, in my opinion. I can play the ball now that I have a little more time,” he said.
