Dad’s Greatest Admirer Daughter of Heirich Klaasen Appreciates His Brutal Knock Against Mumbai Indians

On Wednesday, March 22, Heinrich Klaasen was among the hitters that contributed to Sunrisers Hyderabad setting a record for the highest team total in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The South African player scored 82 runs in only 34 balls during a scorching innings that helped SRH score 277 runs against the Mumbai Indians. Laya, Klaasen’s 14-month-old daughter, was there at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium to support her father. The little child and her mother, Sone Martins, were sitting in the stands, both wearing SRH kits.

Heinrich Klaasen’s explosive performance against Mumbai included as many as seven sixes. Laya was spotted waving the orange flag like a devoted Hyderabad supporter every time he crossed the line. Sone Martins was also beaming as she took in the electrifying stadium ambiance.

The brand posted a video of Laya making a charming gesture on X (previously Twitter) along with the description, “The greatest seat in the house? next to Dad’s greatest admirer. We were all HK’s little ones today. Viewers were amazed by how quickly the post went viral. Laya was quickly dubbed the “cutest fan in the house” by one of them.

Heinrich Klaasen’s triumph, according to one SRH supporter, must be a “special gift for his baby.”

Setting aside the events that occurred on the pitch, another fan dubbed Laya “the Star of the Match.”

In December 2022, Heinrich Klaasen and Sone Martins welcomed their baby Laya. The pair exchanged vows in 2025. When Klaasen isn’t working on a cricket project, he enjoys spending time with his family. Martins, a radiographer by trade, often publishes images of Klaasen and her daughter Laya on social media.

At the 2023 IPL mini-auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad recruited Heinrich Klaasen, perhaps one of the greatest big-hitters in T20 cricket in recent memory. In his 12 games during the Orange franchise’s first season, he scored 448 runs.

This season, Klaasen seems to be more dangerous. He opened the campaign against the Kolkata Knight Riders, hitting 63 runs. With 143 runs, Klaasen is now atop the Orange Cap standings after his explosive performance against the Mumbai Indians.

In retrospect, a number of the visiting team’s players showed their best during the pursuit. They eventually lost the high-scoring match, nevertheless, by a total of 31 runs. After winning at home, SRH is now in third place in the 2024 IPL standings.
