For the Mumbai Indians in the 2024 Indian Premier League, Suryakumar Yadav will miss a few more games

Suryakumar Yadav, the top batsman for India in the Twenty20 International format, may not play in the T20I format as soon as expected. Yadav is recovering from surgery to repair a sports hernia, and the National Cricket Academy (NCA) is keeping a tight eye on his development.

It has been claimed by PTI that the batter may miss a few more games in the Indian Premier League (IPL) season that is currently underway. On the plus side, however, the star hitter is already making progress toward his rehabilitation.

An unnamed BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) source was cited in the paper as saying, “Suriya is making very good progress and he will be back playing for MI very soon.” But after missing the first two games, he could have to miss a couple more.

It is recommended that the board place more emphasis on the Indian international’s readiness for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which will take place in the United States and the West Indies in June of this year.

Since he hurt himself on the pitch during India’s tour of South Africa, the Mumbaikar has been sidelined.

“The primary worry for BCCI is whether he is on track to play in the World T20, which he is. He will undoubtedly play for MI, but he cannot be hurried after sports hernia surgery.

MI has lost both of its games so far, so it is clear that they have missed having their greatest batter. In the first, Shubman Gill’s team defeated the Gujarat Titans on the road by a margin of six runs.

After that, there was another road defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad, when the home side broke several records and recorded the highest team score in a Twenty20 match with 277 runs scored. Tilak Varma led the assault as the Hardik Pandya-led team made a heroic attempt to pursue the massive goal, but ultimately failed.

Going forward, Suryakumar Yadav has solidified his position as one of the greatest in the industry. He has established a reputation for hitting the ball to all areas of the field and often scoring huge runs for the national team, holding the top rank among hitters in the shortest format. After participating in 60 games, he amassed 2141 runs at a 45.55 average and a 171.55 strike rate.

The five-time champions will undoubtedly be excited to have their #4 hitter back in the lineup as they look to turn things around and win the championship one more time. again significantly, as they prepare for the T20 World Cup, the national team will also be hoping to see the best of Suryakumar once again.

The Mumbai Indians will play their first home game of the season on Monday at Wankhede Stadium against the Rajasthan Royals.
