Hyderabad FC Makes a Comeback to Split the Points in a 2-2 Draw with NorthEast United FC

In the Indian Super League on Monday, Hyderabad FC held NorthEast United FC to a 2-2 tie at the Gachibowli Stadium thanks to two goals in the latter part of the second half.

In the 32nd minute of play, Parthib Gogoi ended his nine-match skid without scoring a goal.

He trusted his instincts to go for the goal from a distance when he picked up the ball down the center against a disorganized Hyderabad FC defense, and he converted the attempt to record his fourth goal of the year.

The defense of the host side was noticeably weak today, and this was evident in the game’s second half as well. Experienced goalie Laxmikant Kattimani made three saves and completed an amazing 92% of his 26 passes in this game to guarantee that NorthEast United FC did not add to their total.

He was unable to stop Alex Saji, a defender for Hyderabad FC, from scoring an own goal six minutes into the second half, which gave the team led by Juan Pedro Benali a commanding lead in the match.

But tonight proved to be a success for Hyderabad FC and their faith in their youth. Instead of becoming complacent, the team gave it their utmost to win as many points as possible in the match.

In the seventieth minute, Makhan Chothe broke his goal drought. Chothe had attempted 17 efforts this season without finding the back of the net, and Abdul Rabeeh’s header from a cross was necessary to reduce the gap for starters.

Chothe and Hyderabad FC both maintained that momentum. After a lengthy throw-in, the ball found its way to his foot, and the youthful player fired a powerful shot from the left flank’s inside channel. Mirshad Michu, the goalie, stopped his effort, but Joao Victor, who was standing only yards from the goal, received the deflection.

Victor only needed to touch the ball in to tie the score and make it just the sixth time that Hyderabad FC has gained a point in this match.
