Marcel Sabitzer, a midfielder for Bayern Munich, was offered to Barcelona

Ilkay Gundogan, a former midfielder for Manchester City, just signed for Barcelona. The addition of the German international will unquestionably improve Barcelona’s midfield. But it’s been said that Barcelona manager Xavi wants to change up the midfield line by bringing in more fresh faces. After Sergio Busquets announced his departure from the team, Xavi is likely to start searching for a man who can serve as the Catalan giants’ pivot. According to a Sport rumor, Barcelona has been given the opportunity to acquire Marcel Sabitzer, a midfielder for Bayern Munich, this summer. However, there are questions over whether Sabitzer would be the best Busquets successor.

In 2021, Marcel Sabitzer joined Bayern Munich. Although Sabitzer’s deal with Bayern Munich expires in 2025, the German powerhouse is apparently open to proposals. In 2022, he led Bayern to the DFL Super Cup and the Bundesliga championship. He was eventually loaned to Manchester United for the second half of the 2022–23 campaign after a turbulent tenure.

His stint in England wasn’t entirely a flop since he helped Manchester United win the Carabao Cup and go to the FA Cup final. In 18 games for Manchester United, he managed to score three goals. Sabitzer did have some promising signs, but an injury forced him to end his year early. His crew has also contacted Barcelona with an offer to provide his services, while Manchester United is negotiating a long-term contract for the Austrian. Sabitzer is anticipated to join Bayern Munich after his contract with Manchester United expires this month.

After playing 14 games for Austria, Marcel Sabitzer has scored 14 goals internationally.

Soccer player Marcel Sabitzer is a versatile player who can line up in a variety of midfield positions. The 29-year-old, however, may not be on Barcelona manager Xavi’s radar since he is not the most suitable Sergio Busquets successor. Sabitzer may seem competent in a variety of areas, but he lacks experience playing the pivot. Other attacking-minded midfielders who can play in a central position are being looked at by Xavi. This summer, it’s anticipated that the Spaniard won’t take advantage of the chance to sign Sabitzer.
