Red Bull athlete Max Verstappen responds to criticism from Christian Horner by saying, “He’s Not a Liar.”

Max Verstappen, the three-time reigning Formula 1 champion, responded to rumors on Wednesday that he would transfer to Mercedes when Lewis Hamilton joins Ferrari and backed his father in the midst of unrest at Red Bull.

Jos Verstappen said over the weekend that after the Red Bull team principal’s alleged conduct against a team member, his son’s team would “explode” if Christian Horner stays in charge. According to the younger Verstappen, his father has always been vocal.

Max Verstappen said, “He is not a liar, that’s for sure,” in remarks made in advance of this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, as reported by the UK-based Press Association.

The team’s parent business rejected a complaint last week that Horner had misbehaved toward an unnamed team member. A day later, approximately 200 individuals in the F1 paddock—including Liberty Media, F1, the FIA, the other nine team principals, and several media outlets—were provided a file purportedly containing evidence against Horner.

After Verstappen’s commanding victory in the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, Horner, who has denied any wrongdoing, stayed in his position. Jos Verstappen made his remarks subsequent to the race.

In an effort to win an F1 title for the fourth time in a row, Verstappen said that he desires “a quiet environment where everyone is happy to work.” The Dutch driver, who has a deal with Red Bull until 2028, said that anything is possible given Hamilton’s unexpected 2025 transfer from Mercedes to Ferrari.

Verstappen said, “Nobody would have predicted that Lewis would move to Ferrari.” “I take that approach to life because you can never be certain of what will happen to you, what will come your way, or what will impact you in general. You can never say with certainty what will happen.”

“There is no reason to leave, though, as I am really content and at ease with the team and the performance is there.”
