The Meerut Mavericks defeat the competition thanks to three consecutive sixes smashed by Rinku Singh. Super Over’s Kashi Rudras

In an exciting match in the present Uttar Pradesh T20 competition, Rinku Singh once again showcased his power-hitting abilities by smashing three consecutive sixes to help Meerut Mavericks defeat Kashi Rudras. Rinku once again commanded the stage with his six-hitting prowess and led his side to victory by hammering bowler Shiva Singh for a hat-trick of sixes in the Super Over of the nail-biting match.

Meerut asked Rinku and Divyansh Joshi to chase the score with 17 runs needed to win in the Super Over. The first ball the India hitter faced did not result in a run, but he hit the next three over the rope for sixes.

He hit the first one over long-off and the second one over mid-wicket while picking long-off once again for the game-winning shot.

Earlier, after deciding to bat first, Meerut produced 181/4 thanks to Madhav Kaushik’s 87-run innings. In response, Kashi Rudras were able to tie the game with to half-centuries from Shivam Bansal (57) and Karan Sharma (58).

Yogendra Doyal and Karan Sharma walked out to bat for Kashi in the super over, and despite losing Karan Sharma’s wicket, they still managed to get 16 runs. But against a known match-winner of the IPL, their spinner Shiva Singh was unable to defend the mark and missed both his line and length.

Rinku didn’t do well in the first innings, scoring 15 runs off of 22 balls, but he subsequently made up for it.

Rinku had already shown his six-hitting prowess in the franchise league competition. In an earlier IPL encounter, he ignited the crowd by hitting five consecutive sixes in the penultimate over to help Kolkata Knight Riders defeat Gujarat Titans.

With a Player of the Match performance in his maiden inning, Rinku made his entrance into the world of international cricket official. He produced a fun 38-run innings in the second T20I to help India defeat Ireland and win the series.
