Yoshita advances in the badminton competition

Yoshita Mathur advanced in the women’s singles division of the All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament, which is being hosted by the

Akansha Kumari beat Gauri Khare 30–20, while Pinky Karki of RSB Shillong defeated Bhavya Rishi 30–14. Manju Chahal defeated Betty Dourado 30-8, while Shenan Christian defeated Deepthi Deokar 30-1 to go to the next round. Kirti Chaturvedi beat Harshita Agrawal 30-28, while Najma Khan of RSB Chandigarh defeated Vibha Kumar 30-25.

Manju and Najma Khan defeated Chhavi Thakur and Sanghamitra Saikia 30-27 in the women’s doubles competition. While Harshita Agarwal and Juhi Dewangan defeated Nikita Domba and Swati Avndhekar 30-10, Gitanjali and Namrath defeated Betty Dourado and Sania 30-21. Pinki Karki and Vibha Kumar beat Ritu and Shivani 30-1, while Nikita and Shenan Christian upset Garima Yadav and Preeti Singh 30-12.

Anksha Kumar and Manpreet were beaten by Kirti Chaturvedi and Yoshita Mathur 30–11, while Agma Anto and Shikha Gautam were defeated 30–20 by Chimran Kalit and Mayuri Yadav. Damanpreet Kaur and Jyoti Rawat lost against Daksha Gautam and Lalita Dhaiya 30–17.

In the meanwhile, Rajpal Singh and Pankaj Gupta, two local players, defeated Rajeev Sharma and Sunil Yadav 30-27 to go straight into the men’s doubles quarterfinals.
