In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a family’s scooter was struck and dragged by a speeding SUV, killing four people, including two children.

On Tuesday night, the event happened in the Aliganj neighborhood. According to the authorities, the two-wheeler became caught underneath the four-wheeler and was carried for some distance.

The victims were transported to King George’s Medical University’s (KGMU) trauma center, where they were pronounced dead.

Ram Singh (35), his wife of 32 years, and their two children, 10 and 7, have been identified as the dead, according to the police.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, has conveyed his sorrow over the fatalities in the traffic tragedy.

A 57-year-old man was killed in a different traffic collision on Wednesday in Delhi when a truck struck his two-wheeler on National Highway-9.

The two-wheeler’s driver was brought to the LBS hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to a senior police official. He said that Arjun, a 32-year-old truck driver from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, had been captured.

Subedar, a Ghaziabad native, was named as the dead. He used to work in Chanakyapuri as a gardener and was now traveling to New Delhi, the officer said. The corpse was given to the deceased’s family after an autopsy was performed at the LBS morgue, according to the police.
