UP Constable recruitment exam: police said 244 persons were apprehended in the previous three days

Up to 244 people have been arrested or detained by Uttar Pradesh Police in the past three days as part of a massive crackdown on those who are suspected of using unfair methods in the police constable recruitment test.

These arrests or detentions took place between February 15 and February 18, according to a statement from the Lucknow state police headquarters.

The recruitment test for Uttar Pradesh police constables took place on February 17 and 18.

Police headquarters claims that these arrests and detentions were carried out with the assistance of local intelligence by Special Task Force (STF) units as well as district police.

“After filing a formal complaint against them, the accused who have been detained or arrested are being questioned. “Those and groups engaged in using unfair exam techniques will be apprehended, and punitive measures will be implemented against them,” said Prashant Kumar, the chief of police in Uttar Pradesh.
