UP will broadcast the live Chandrayaan-3 moon landing to council schools

In order to allow children to see the historic moment of Chandrayaan-3’s first-ever landing on the Moon’s South Pole on Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh government has ordered all government-run schools in the state to be open for one hour on August 23.

In order to satisfy the students’ interest as well as to increase their knowledge, the Yogi Adityanath administration issued an ordinance to this effect.

According to the Ministry of Education’s directives, on August 23 at 5:27 p.m., the Chandrayaan-3 lunar landing would be broadcast live on the ISRO website, YouTube channel, and DD National.

The state government has chosen to open schools in the evenings for the first time in order to teach the children on such a historic occasion, additional state project director Madhusudan Hulgi said here on Tuesday.

The lunar landing by India’s Chandrayaan-3, he said, is a historic event that will inspire young people to explore the world. As we jointly celebrate the strength of Indian science and technology, this will foster a strong feeling of pride and unification. All DIET Principals and BSAs have been instructed to host special meetings at schools and educational institutions between 5.15 and 6.15 pm and to set up a live transmission during this time period.
