Uttar Pradesh: In Lucknow, a female student commits herself by hanging in her dorm room

Lucknow suicide case: According to the police, a female student at the institution of Arts and Craft, a constituent institution of Lucknow University (LU), committed herself in her room at the Tilak Hostel on campus by turning on her smartphone camera, which captured the whole incident.

She used her smartphone camera to capture the ultimate step on Wednesday evening, January 10, and hung herself from a ceiling fan.

Police authorities claim that the deceased had a disagreement with a Varanasi resident, and that this action was likely taken out of irritation.

Three kids shared the room, and the event happened when two of them were gone. Upon their return from the market, the pupils discovered that the room was locked from the inside. The hostel workers assisted in breaking the windowpanes to gain in.

Police are looking into this:

In a statement, Additional DCP (Central) Manisha Singh claimed that the police team raced to the hostel as soon as they received information.

“Her corpse was taken down by the police and submitted for a post-mortem examination. The event has been reported to her parents and local guardians,” Singh said.

According to a press release from Lucknow University spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava, the girl is a Prayagraj native and is enrolled in the fifth semester of a Bachelor of Fine Arts program.

“The reason for the extreme step was not clear yet and the police are investigating the case,” he said.
