Voters in Amethi are split by rumors that Rahul Gandhi would retake his former seat

NOIDA: Senior folks were among the first to cast their ballots as the second round of the Lok Sabha election got off in Noida’s Gautam Buddh Nagar seat on Friday morning. Within the first hour, several polling places reported minimal lines and quick voting procedures, according to some voters.
The District Election Officer and District Magistrate, Manish Kumar Verma, took part in the early voting as well.

In the hopes of seeing a higher voter turnout than the last election, he expressed his joy after casting his ballot at Cambridge School in Sector 27 and urged the locals to exercise their democratic right in big numbers.

Local resident and early voter in Noida Ashok Verma (66) called the procedure “good,” pointing out that it just took ten minutes to finish. There are fifteen contenders fighting for the endorsement of more than 26.75 lakh eligible voters in the Gautam Buddha Nagar seat.
Manoj and Sujata, a city couple, sent their 8-year-old son Sharav to the polls to show him how voting works and to motivate him to vote in the future. The Cambridge school booth’s neatness and small line, according to senior citizen B K Jain, made the procedure simple for him.

Seniors were especially engaged in the early voting hours in the affluent Sector 15A. Manju Oberoi urged people to come out and have their opinions heard and stressed the value of utilizing one’s democratic rights. Upjive Oberoi, her spouse, observed that the voting procedure went well and quickly, taking just ten minutes to finish. In Sector 15A, the residents’ welfare association (RWA) even set up electric cars to deliver voters to and from the polls.

The assembly segments of Noida, Dadri, Jewar, Khurja, and Sikandrabad are included in the Gautam Buddh Nagar Lok Sabha constituency. Sikandrabad and Khujra are situated in the nearby Bulandshahr district. Election Commission statistics shows that the constituency has continually had lower voter participation than the national average, with 60.47% in 2019, 60.38% in 2014, and a meager 48% in 2009.
