A 67-year-old man from Michigan wins Rs 3.4 crore in the lottery despite believing it to be a scam

Unbeknownst to the participants, a Michigan citizen won an unexpected lottery prize of over $400,000 (about Rs 3.4 crore). While playing online games, the winner, who wishes to remain unknown, inadvertently acquired entry into the state’s second-chance lottery.

At first he thought the email announcing his win was a fraud, and he couldn’t imagine receiving a big amount of money without knowing he had entered. He felt a wave of thrill and amazement after verifying the veracity of the communication.

According to the Michigan Lottery, on October 11, a random drawing yielded $416,322 (around Rs 3.46 crore) for the 67-year-old winner who chose to remain anonymous. His entry into the drawing came from playing online BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot games that qualified.

The winner said, “I play games online a lot, but I didn’t know that playing certain games would gain me entries for a second chance draw. I thought I had not entered any giveaways, so when I got an email from the Michigan Lottery telling me I had won a $416,322 second chance award, I immediately wrote it off as a hoax.

I found out I had been collecting entries without realizing it until I got in touch with the Michigan Lottery. I can’t believe this is happening; it’s unreal. “Winning a lottery prize this size is an amazing and overwhelming experience,” he said. The winner went to Lottery headquarters to pick up his reward, planning to give some of it to his family and preserve the rest.

However, the Michigan Lottery is about to release a brand-new quick game with dogs in it, and your pet may be one of the selected faces. For a chance to have their dogs included on the next Lucky Dog tickets, pet owners are asking their pups’ pictures and a short bio to enter a sweepstakes. Thirty canines will be chosen.

The Michigan Lottery acknowledged the challenge of selecting among so many cherished pets and said that they would want to know what inspires players to be enthusiastic about their dogs. Entries are accepted until December 8; the winners will be announced in the spring. On June 4, the Lucky Dog game will make its debut. Tickets cost $1, and rewards range from $1 to $5,000 (around Rs 83 to Rs 4 lakh).
