More than 5 million people have seen Desi’s time-saving tip for making pooris without rolling pins

There are a ton of time-saving cooking tips available online. Halwa and curries go nicely with chapatis, pranthas, and pooris. However, making them every day might be a laborious task. It takes talent and experience to roll a perfectly circular chapati with ease. Making circular pooris or rotis quickly is a challenge for many. A video of a lady preparing round pooris—and without a rolling pin, at that—has gone viral online recently.

In the video, a lady is seen kneading dough into equal-sized balls and setting them on a plastic sheet. To prevent them from sticking to one another after they are flattened, she arranges the dough balls apart. She is seen squeezing each dough ball with the rolling board and covering it with the other half of the plastic sheet as the movie goes on. She deep fried those round, little pooris later. Instagram user Ruchi Kewat (@itz_ruchi___123) uploaded the video. The user shared the video and stated, “Pooris without rolling pin: बिना बेलन की पूरी.”

Surprisingly, since it was uploaded a few days ago, Instagram users have given the video a lot of attention. More than 5 million people have seen and liked the video. Many Instagram users expressed their admiration for the woman in the post’s comments section. A user said, “Great idea, mai bhi try krungi (I will also try this).”. Another person said, “That’s a great idea.” A third admitted, “Ye trick to mujhe bhi apnani padegi (I also need to adapt this trick).” Some people said that this approach would be incredibly helpful when a lot of visitors return home.
