Rats are seen scuttling in the Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Express in a shocking video; the railway responds

A passenger on the Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Express train was taken aback to see rats running about the AC cabin. Along with a picture of the dirty train car, Jasmita Pati posted an incriminating video showing the rat on the coach floor. She commented, “I’m shocked by the terrible cleanliness conditions on this train ride and the sight of rats scuttling around.” To solve this problem, immediate action is required. She also included the Central Railway, the Ministry of Railways, and Railway Seva, the Indian Railway customer service, in her portfolio.

The lady said that when she first attempted to file a complaint, railway helpline number 139 was inaccessible in the post that followed. Additionally, she said that when she brought up cleanliness issues, the train officials disregarded her worries. “We tried, but 139 was not reachable,” Pati wrote. Additionally, the attendant, or TT, ignores your requests for them to check into the matter.

In response to this post, Railway Seva requested that Pati provide her train’s PNR number and her cellphone number so that they could investigate. The railroad replied with the normal message that her “complaint has been registered on RailMadad and complaint no. has been sent through SMS on your mobile number.” when she disclosed the trip information.

Another traveler shared that he too had seen cockroaches and a rat inside the Jnaneswari Super Fast Express in response to Pati’s article on the train’s appalling state of hygiene. “Having the same problem in the 12101 Jnaneswari Super Fast Express A1 coupe that left on March 19th (yesterday night),” the X user added. It was also a larger mouse. When he was contacted, the participant said that he had filled up a hole under the seat with the cover that held the towels and mattresses. Find the bug, just to be sure!

A train traveller posted a graphic video of rats gorging on food stored in the Mumbai-Madgaon Express pantry in October of last year. The damning video was taken by Mangirish Tendulkar, who published it on Instagram and it quickly gained popularity on social media.

Tendulkar said in his post that he brought up the matter with a member of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), but that the RPF staff rejected his worries, telling him that because there are “500 to 600 rats under the tracks, what is the problem if 5 or 6 of them get inside.” After he brought up the issue, the pantry manager acknowledged that there were rats inside, but they were unable to take action since the trains consistently provided them with shoddy carriages.
