Russian Man Shaves Barber’s Head in Thailand Following Bad Haircut

In retaliation for a poor haircut he got, a Russian vacationer in Pattaya, Thailand, was seen on camera shaving the head of a neighborhood hairdresser. The disturbing video, which has been making the rounds on the internet for more than a week, shows a white guy having his hair cut at Salute Barbershop in Pattaya.

Witnesses said that because of his alleged poor command of English, he entered the shop and tried to indicate his preferred haircut using hand signals. The guy, who was eventually recognized as a guest from Russia, once lost his temper when he saw the poor outcome in the mirror. He then slammed his hands on the table, swore at the barber, and took out the shears to cut off a portion of his fringe as payback.

The guy who isn’t named in the video can be heard yelling, “You crazy motherf*****.” I demonstrated for you. How the f*** is that? My bangs are nowhere to be found. How dare I? The Russian guy storms out of the barbershop without paying the bill, snatching a pair of clippers and shaving off a portion of the Thai barber’s fringe. Both the employees and other patrons were left completely stunned by the whole incident.

Reporters were told by the 32-year-old barber Suphachai, “After he slammed the table, he grabbed my head, pulled it down, and then used a clipper to trim my hair.” Though I didn’t fight back, I was still upset. I considered a few possible outcomes if I retaliated. I was worried about losing my job or dealing with legal consequences. So I decided to take no action.

Suphachai could no longer hide the visible gap in his fringe and was forced to shave his whole head. Along with complaining to the local police, he also hoped that the Russian guy would apologize, albeit this is difficult to do as he has since left Thailand.

Unlike the other event, a touching video that is making the rounds on the internet shows how people may come together to support one another while they are facing cancer. In the video, a barber is seen caring to the hair of a cancer patient who went in to have her head shaved. Since chemotherapy often results in severe hair loss, many cancer patients choose to shave their heads prior to starting the treatment.

It became clear throughout the process that the lady attached great emotional value to the time when her head was being shaved. The barber helping her was moved by the circumstances and showed his unflinching support for the lady by shaveing off his hair in solidarity.
