Monica Pearson posted a humorous video from her son’s birthday celebration earlier this month. Teddy is seen in the video singing “Happy Birthday” while seated in his high chair. Teddy, however, merely sags and rests his head on the folding table in his seat in the midst of the song.

Teddy’s parents give him back rubs and prods to get up, but he ignores the fun that is going on around him. Between giggles, the guests carry on singing the birthday song. After Monica Pearson first shared his video on TikTok, it quickly gained popularity on other social media sites. Teddy’s unamused response, of course, made people laugh all across the globe. Teddy now has a dedicated Instagram account created by his parents. The moniker Teddy Unimpressed is rather fitting.

Teddy’s parents posted the birthday video on Instagram, saying, “Realized he’ll be paying bills soon.” An Instagram user commented on it, saying, “This kid reminds me of Garfield a little!” “I was like Teddy,” commented another commenter. I still detest taking photos, even after 60 years.

After seeing Teddy’s video on their local TV, a lot of people said in the comments that they searched for it online. “I saw this on my Pittsburgh local news this morning and this is the most accurate representation of 2024, he is very much an old soul,” an Instagram user said. “I’m in Canada and saw the Tedster on CNN,” added a second commenter.
