This time, netizens on the Delhi Metro approved of the couple’s PDA

The Delhi subway recently grabbed headlines for all the wrong reasons as several pictures and videos of couples having personal encounters within the subway circulated on social media. Another similar video of a couple having a sexual encounter inside a coach recently surfaced on social media. Even though the couple’s faces are hidden by the photograph, it is safe to presume that they are making out.

The event happened on June 17 on the Delhi Metro’s yellow line as it travelled in the direction of HUDA City Centre, according to the caption.

Usually, these actions draw criticism from the general public and internet users, but this time, the tides seemed to be turning as the internet appeared to support PDA and pushed others to normalise PDA. A Twitter user pushed people to normalise public displays of affection, writing, “People in Dehli will literally walk past a man stabbing a woman to death like its not their business but PDA is where they draw the line.”

“Kiss more and kiss open,” someone else said. Many kisses. Arouse their envy. We salute love.

Another spoke out in favour of the pair, saying, “It’s so pitiful that Indian society is more outraged over small consensual acts of love than actual violence against women and children which also happens in public.”

Delhi Metro also commented to the picture in the meanwhile. It posted on Twitter, saying, “Hello. We apologise any inconvenience. No such passengers were discovered when HUDA City Centre was checked. In a previous guideline, the DMRC encouraged travellers to refrain from making reels inside metro trains and cautioned that any action that can annoy passengers is completely forbidden.
