Why Did These Brides Travel To The Wedding Location In A Police Car?

There’s no way you can afford for things to go wrong on your wedding day, which is perhaps the greatest event of your life. The ideal wedding of Jemma and Sian Batchelor-Thomas, however, almost fell apart when their bus broke down in Hampshire, United Kingdom. They were fortunate that the neighborhood cops were nearby and stepped in to assist. They made sure that Jemma and Sian would arrive at the wedding in time by giving the stranded brides a ride in a police vehicle. Other visitors, meantime, depended on the consideration of passing drivers for their prompt arrival.

Officers from the Hedge End Neighborhood Policing Team shared the event on Facebook, writing, “We were in the right location at the right time this morning as a coach carrying a wedding party had broken down on St John’s Road in Hedge End. It seems sense that the brides were quite concerned about missing their wedding. We instructed them to board the police vehicle, and we provided them with a luxurious ride to their wedding destination, getting there with plenty of time to spare.

Jemma expressed her happiness that everyone made it on time despite the sudden breakdown of their bus. It was a fairly intimate service, so we hired the bus from the hotel where we were staying so everyone could relax and enjoy the ride, Jemma said while telling the anxious turn of events to BBC. Obviously, it didn’t happen since we gave up after ten minutes. The visitors believed we were kidding. Even though we were just a half-hour away from the register office, it took us that long to get there.

Jemma said that although she had been under a great lot of stress during the incident, Sian had been wonderfully composed. She acknowledged that while they now find it hilarious, at the time it seemed like a dreadful scenario. The enormous generosity and support they got from several people came out as the thing that affected the due the most. Jemma and Sian were moved by the lack of unfavorable remarks and the largely positive reception they had as a same-sex couple.

Additionally, it demonstrates that the police are there to assist the community as much as to protect it. The officers, Rachel and Lucy, “went above and beyond in their duties,” she said.

Sian continued by saying that despite the difficult circumstances, the visitors handled themselves with remarkable composure.
