We have met with Google and startup firms. After some very fruitful talks, Google has now decided to return all of the applications to their original state on Friday morning (March 1). We think that both start-up businesses and Google will reach a long-term settlement in the next months since Google has been assisting our technological growth path,” the minister said.

Google stated in a statement that it is temporarily reintroducing the applications while the Supreme Court considers the case. It said unequivocally that Google retains the authority to apply and enforce its business model.

We are temporarily reintroducing the creators’ applications whose appeals are still pending before the Supreme Court out of a spirit of collaboration. Google continues to be entitled to apply and uphold the terms of its business model, as determined by several courts. Later, when some developers consented to Google’s payment requirements, Google started to restore some applications.

On Monday, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, held separate meetings with executives from the impacted companies, which included Matrimony.com (Bharat Matrimony), Info Edge (Naukri.com), People Interactive (Shaadi.com), QuackQuack, and Truly Madly.
